The hackathon, organized by PKO Bank Polski, the Lem Institute and Microsoft, was part of the celebration of the Year of Stanislaw Lem on the 100th anniversary of the writer's birth.

In this online event, participants presented the results of their work in two categories:

  • Bank of the future - participants designed solutions related to blockchain, IoT, smart advisory or improving everyday banking for all ages.
  • Combating cyberbullying - participants were tasked with creating a technological solution or educational materials to help combat hejt and cyberbullying.

The total prize pool amounted to 150,000 PLN!

Hack4Lem to ucieleśnienie Roku Lema, bo jest to święto technologii, kultury i nauki.

So it combines all these elements, which Stanisław Lem also combined so perfectly in his work. Our Institute conducts digital education of society, we teach how to safely use new technologies, so we are pleased that there have been so many interesting projects in the fight against cyberbullying
